Initial escape

Sometimes, we need to take the first step and break away, even if just for a moment, in search of happiness.

This work is alive, constantly responding to the pulse of the Bitcoin network. It reacts to the fee rate of the latest block, meaning its movement and intensity shift throughout the day. When network fees are low, the scene is calmer, more fluid—almost meditative. But as fees rise, so does the energy of the piece. The higher the gas, the more agitated and dynamic it becomes, mirroring the network’s own surges of activity.

Every moment is unique, shaped by the ever-changing rhythm of Bitcoin itself.

A generative longform art project inscribed on Bitcoin’s blockchain, Blockfeel explores the immutable nature of human emotions through digital permanence. Each piece represents a moment in our emotional timeline, transformed into abstract data that, once minted, becomes eternal like our deepest feelings and memories.

Blockfeel doesn’t just store art on the blockchain; it transforms the blockchain into a living emotional archive, where technology meets the raw authenticity of human experience.

How do our feelings inscribe themselves in digital eternity? This project explores the intersection of technology and emotion. Generated on the Bitcoin blockchain, it asks: how much of us remains unchanged by time? How do our emotional experiences connect and influence each other?

In a digital age where everything feels fleeting, it proposes a permanent record of our humanity. Just like mined blockchain blocks are eternal and immutable, each recorded feeling becomes a permanent part of this emotional chain. We can’t go back and rewrite what’s been felt – we can only add new chapters to this ever-expanding story.

How would your most intense moments connect in this emotional chain? What patterns would emerge from this immutable record of feelings? After all, aren’t our emotions also a natural blockchain, where each lived experience becomes a permanent block of who we are?
